Saturday Report - from a volunteer
We visited Indy today and were AMAZED at her progress. Her head wound is healing well, her front left paw is also healing well, and when we changed her bandage on her fixiter on her hind leg, things looked good there too.
She asked me to thank everyone for their donations, thoughts and prayers!

Wednesday Report- Big Bandage off and looking good
Indy had the large bandage around her leg removed today, and the dressing changed around her fixiter. Her surgery site looks great and Dr Lassiter was very positive about her recovery. Also, her xrays have been reviewed and they do not believe she has an actual fracture to her skull, just lots of bruising and damage otherwise. As with any head injury, there are chances of seizures developing, but this girl is doing wonderful and we are thinking positively.

Monday PM: Indy is back home, surgery went well.
Indy was in surgery for about 2 hours this afternoon, and Dr Lassiter reports that everything went as well as she could have hoped. The bone came back together with a great alignment. Indy will wear an external fixiter for about 4-6 weeks until x-rays are repeated to see how the bone is healing. Bandage changes every 2 days, lots of medicine for pain and infection, she will be getting plenty of attention.
She is sleeping now- waking up and whining every once in a while, then going back to sleep. Lets hope she has a peaceful night.

Sunday Update
Indy is resting at home, after being stabilized by the great folks at the Animal Care Hospital. She has staples in her head, and her leg is splinted. She will undergo surgery for the fracture of her right hind femur on Monday.
She gives a sweet tail wag and kisses to her visitors, and has eaten some special treats and had lots to drink. Paws crossed for a successful surgery on Monday!
